Pathways HSC curriculum

Korowal’s emphasis on immersion in a subject area prepares students for our “Pathways” approach to H.S.C. study.

Year 11 and 12 students at Korowal undertake their H.S.C in two stages, completing half of their subjects, and half of their exams, in each year. It is also possible to study part-time, in which case students spread their study over three or more years.

Korowal offers a range of courses developed by the Board of Studies, including Standard, Advanced and Extension English, General, 2 Unit and Extension Mathematics, History: 2 unit and Extension 1, Ancient History, Society and Culture, Studies of Religion, Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Information Processes and Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, and English as a Second Language. Some students expand this range through Distance Education courses, and vocational courses offered by TAFE.
