Students entering Year 7, 2016 (internal & external applicants)

Applicants for these scholarships will only be accepted from existing enrolled students or students who have applied for enrolment and are on current waiting lists.  Scholarships categories are

  • Academic
  • Drama
  • Art
  • Music

The Scholarships are merit based.

All applicants are required to sit the ACER Scholarship tests. Results of these tests are used to award Academic scholarships, but are used as a guide only in the awarding of Drama, Music and Art Scholarships.

Value of scholarship

The value of a Scholarship is generally equivalent to 25% reduction in tuition fees.

Scholarship period

A Scholarship awarded in Year 7 remains in effect until the end of Year 9.

Application Process

The Scholarships are applied for online and applications close on 13th March, 2015.   Registrations received after this date will incur a late fee of $140.  The Scholarship examination will take place on Saturday 21st March, 2015 and auditions if required, soon after. Successful applicants are notified in June. The Scholarship period commences the following year.  The scholarship application fee is $100).

The Whitton Scholarship - Students entering Year 11

The Whitton Scholarship exists for students entering Year 11, called Pathways at Korowal. The Scholarship covers the final two years of school.

It is open to any student who can demonstrate an all round ability in social, cultural or sporting participation. The successful candidate must also demonstrate sustained academic endeavour.

Awarding of this Scholarship is by interview only.

Applications close at the end of term 2 each year, tenable for the following two years.

Value of scholarship

Equivalent to 25% reduction in tuition fees for each of the two final years.

The Whitton Scholarship may be applied for through the school's office.

Financial Needs Bursaries

Each year Korowal School makes a limited amount of financial assistance available to families with children enrolled in the school who experience financial need due to changing and/ or unexpected circumstances. Please contact the school office for information about how to apply.
