Gloucester River Wines
Gloucester River Vineyard was planted in 2003 with our first vintage in 2006. Whilst we make both red and white wines, we focus on growing the French red Chambourcin grape, a variety that is well adapted to the relatively humid climate of Gloucester.
Our vintages are small with the wines handcrafted and cellared in our Gloucester vinyard using French or American oak barriques and hogsheads.
We use no preservatives or chemical agents in winemaking and follow 400 year old European methods. The techniques and the location of the vineyard on the Gloucester River in the foothills of the Barrington Tops results in an authentic style that is full of character and very unique in taste.
Our wines are available at the monthly Farmers Market held in Gloucester’s Billabong Park or by phoning or contacting us by email.
